Portland, Oregon (COINnews) — The Oregon Zoo has announced that it will open its doors to the public in 2020, in the hopes of making it a more popular tourist destination for the city of Portland.
According to the zoo’s website, the Zoo will be open for two seasons from June 2020 through September 2020.
The zoo will be housed in the zoo complex in the city’s downtown district, with a two-story observation deck and outdoor seating.
It is unclear how long the zoo will remain open for, and how many guests it will attract.
The zoo is currently located in the heart of downtown, and is adjacent to the Port of Portland, the city that is home to the state’s largest aquarium.
The Zoo will also feature an indoor and outdoor theater that will be operated by a local nonprofit organization.
