A rare sighting of gladiators at zoo in Gujarat

A group of young circus performers, some of whom are circus performers themselves, are on their way to the zoo for a special show.

“We’re going to be at the zoo to see what it’s like to be a circus performer, and we have a big party,” says Girish Pandey, who runs a local circus called the Mysuru Circus.

Pandey says he is keen to see how these young performers can live in the circus and perform in the zoo.

“Our circus has been in Gujarat for over 20 years and it’s a great tradition, and the zoo is an opportunity to showcase our circus,” he says.

Pandey is not the only one.

Two young circus people, Akshay and Pratap, who have worked as professional circus performers in the city, also plan to visit the zoo, as do others in the group.

They say that it will be a wonderful opportunity to learn from one another.

“They are both circus performers,” says Akshayan.

“Akshay is an assistant circus performer and Prataap is a circus clown.

We are very excited to meet them and see what they are like in the world of circus.”
