The body of a man found last week in a zoo enclosure in western Virginia has been identified.
The discovery of the body of 53-year-old Kenneth “Kenny” Smith on Thursday was made when a worker noticed his dog in a crate.
The dog’s body has been transported to a local animal hospital for identification.
It was not immediately clear how the dog died, or how long Smith had been in the enclosure.
Smith was a former employee of the Smithsonian Institution, and the zoo has not released a cause of death.
